This client emailed over an image of a phoenix she wanted on the back of her neck. It was a simple line drawing and she had said she wanted colors in the image, so instead of creating a stencil I decided to just freehand it on and go from there.

For many people this particular area isn’t simple to sit through, but this lovely lady sat like a champ! She took it better than some men twice her size. ;)

Take a gander at the color I introduced to the piece:

“mr.clean, mr.clean”

i’m sure even in a hundred years that jingle’ll still be in my head.  those ad makers did a helluva job with that tune.  he’s a pretty handsome bald guy as well. ;)

as you know this month of march has been dedicated to some Serious Spring Cleaning:

takin’ those inked mistakes and puttin’ the shine on ‘em.

it’s a great feeling when someone walks in with an old/busted/bad tattoo, aren’t too sure what can even be done, and then gets blown away when they see their re-worked piece for the first time…

it’s freakin’ amazing.

*Rock Out*

wwwwwwwwwwweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

ever worked on a puzzle over a long period of time?

adding and adding pieces until the picture becomes clear…

waiting for the final piece to complete the image…

a large tattoo is a lot like that – a good amount of time, attention to detail, the waiting to finally see the finished product…

the feeling you get at the end of completing a tattoo is a lot like finishing a puzzle as well…

it’s pure eXcitement,

Satisfaction,

& PRiDE.
